Hello everyone, welcome to my new site and blog. This site includes business information as well as general information about me so both will be covered here. Those of you who know me will expect a personal touch and will not be disappointed since I am one of those tragic romantic types who, for better or for worse, wears her heart on her sleeve where it can sometimes drip a little blood on those at close range.

The new year is upon us and I’m feeling dreamy and at peace. Five months pregnant with love and mommy hormones flooding through my ever expanding body, the natural rush eliminating any need for artificial mood enhancers or even outside stimulation of any kind. I’m happy to cocoon at home, to love my husband, write, read, meditate, garden and eat. So much becomes amazingly unimportant when faced with the awesome responsibility of bringing new life into this strange and beautiful world. Socializing? Partying? Competition? Worldly achievement? Why?
I cannot even remember why I thought those things were so important before. Now all that matters is a quietly fierce little thing called love, a concept so simple, so profound and somehow so out of place in our hyper-paced western notion of reality.
My wonderful doula (labor and birth assistant) has generously allowed me access to her vast library of birth knowledge. I just watched an inspiring DVD called “Orgasmic Birth” showing women in the security and comfort of their own homes moaning in ecstasy as they passionately birth their children into the world while glossy doe-eyed, slack-jawed husbands look on in utter admiration and awe. Now that’s what I’m talking about!

To me this feels like a year of healing, 2012 is just around the corner, so now is the time to evolve or dissolve (a great quote from spiritual teacher Laurie Grant). The universe is conspiring to help us all let go of past hurts, forgive and clear the way, express love and find humility. This is what I wish for all of us this year, a newfound level of peace and inner knowingness mixed with a little earth shattering ecstasy.
